Back Packing in 1974

My friends and I stopped for lunch while a trail in Los Padres National Forest in 1974. My red Kelty ( http://365project.org/joysabin/365/2016-07-02) is proof that I was there-at least for me. This was taken with my Kodak 110 Instamatic. This was my 2nd camera, the first being a 124 Kodak sadly I couldn't find any pictures from that camera. I was not savvy enough to have saved either the camera nor any the pictures.
Very nostalgic feel , I am sure this pic brings back some lovely memories

This is a great old photograph. I am glad you didn't have PS correct the colors.

Is that a wine flagon? If that's the correct word.

I love the colors in this. Strange to apply the word "vintage" to such an ordinary scene... (but I guess we are)

@susale It does, backpacking saved me in high school. I went as often as I could. @octogenarian The picture/print is bit more orange and there is the remnants of the tape that I used at one time when it was in a photo album. I did scan the print so there has been correction in the colors. The bota bag (wine skin) is what we called it and it did have wine in it but really cheap stuff. @francoise I did have to scan the print so the one you see is better than my original print which is much more of an orange tone. I was 16 years old when I took this so yeah, its vintage.

Happy days eh? Nice to look back at pictures and remember how life was then. Was it simpler or harder do you think?

@stephanies Both actually, the problems that I faced weren't anyone's but mine. I was rather naive but wouldn't change anything. Just really glad that I don't have to live through those things again. I do miss backpacking but I go hiking instead.
