Snowy Reality

Snow has stopped falling (for a bit). All told, we were gifted with 36.4 inches while the mountains got over 8 feet. Such a strange sensation to walk above the ground, many paths and sidewalks haven't been cleared yet but, I trudge on.
I love the dark tones here, they add a bit of bewilderment!

I love the eerie feel of this. It's almost like a different planet

@domenicododaro Thank you very much. The way that the wind sculpted the snow has been very amazing this year.
@gavincci Thank you very kindly for the fav, trying to make 'lemonade' from this set of storms.
@andywallis I am grateful for the fav, it does feel like a different planet. The drifts have been really cool. There is a half built snow fort in the center, my son started it and then got bored with it.

Ah. I wondered what was going on in the middle there :)

@catsmeowb Thank you so much for the fav. I admit to feeling cranky about the snow but seeing the drifts and shadows outside helped.
@deborah63 So grateful for the fav, thank you. The trees were helping with the shadows but not the dumping of snow blobs.
@jerome Thank you so very much for the fav. Trying to make the best out of a shut inside day.
@jack4john Thank kindly for the fav, zthe snow isn't all that bad if one is inside. :):)
@megpicatilly Thank you so much for the fav. The I truly don't want to see this much snow in my yard again. I did feel gifted to get this shot. I did get others but none really popped like this one.
@s4sayer I truly thank you for the fav. The snow and wind gave us amazing gifts but I am still trying to appreciate them.
@cjphoto Thank you, I was just so happy to see the sun that I braved stepping onto the porch to get some shots. My son's half completed snow fort is the light circle thing in the middle.
@sasslater Thank you so very much. Snow and I, still trying to appreciate one another.:):)
@cscarr97 Thank you a great deal. Maybe someday I will like snow, gotta move to Maui. :):)
@gardencat Thank you so very much. The sun decided to show up and I grabbed a few shots before it ran away - which is did in about 1 hour.

Looks surreal with the curvy snow and the mega long shadows, love the light.

@overalvandaan I am so very grateful for the fav. The wind and snow were in harmony with the recent set of storms. I think that we will have snow in my backyard for some time. My son went out this afternoon to continue work on the fort, might be able to wade through the drifts to get a closer and better angle.
