Such a wonderful image! I feel as though if you photographed it at varying times of the day over the course of a month, you would have a lovely series.
@jmdspeedy Thank you a great deal, the trolls in Flagstaff have a sense of humor and only show up now and then.
@evalieutionspics Thank you, I've walked by the stump numerous times but this time I stopped and really saw all the wonderful lines. Now I will have to take afternoon walks to work on different lighting, maybe even in the rain and snow.
@30pics4jackiesdiamond I agree that there are many more creatures that might lurk there, the troll face just popped out at me.
@graemestevens Thank you a great deal. Old short wrinkly wood has lots of possibilities.
@susale Thank you so much for the fav. The stumps are often ignored when they should be celebrated.
@domenicododaro Thank you a great deal, I feel almost guilty since I've walked by this beauty so many times and didn't notice it.
@stephanies You are so kind, thank you for the fav. The stump is now on my radar as a great one to work with. I am looking forward to the snow and see how I can capture it then.
I'm with the warthog too. Most fetching ;-)

@megpicatilly I have may insulted trolls here, it is looking like a wild pig/javelina.
@overalvandaan Thank you so much, having walked by this little stump so many times I feel as though I neglected it.
@ukandie1 Thank you so very much, the little stump finally got my attention, I am very happy that I saw it.
@pdulis Thank you very kindly for the fav. Old wood really has a lot of character.
@nickspicsnz Truly appreciate the fav, thank you! The textures just deserved b&w.
@haskar So very grateful for the fav, thank you.
@francoise I would love to have him in my yard but his home is on a public trail so I'll let him stay there.
