Taken about 10 minutes past the peak but this is what I would have liked to witness, just because I'm selfish. In Northern Arizona we only were blessed with 70% totality.
I've never seen the totality but I do like your picture so much just for the artistry of it. It appears is if some cosmic natural deity was trying establish its supremacy over the bleakness of that forlorn tree and landscape in a timeless and eternal debate. A fave in so many levels.
Sigh...we were treated to heavy clouds. Through the glasses we could see the crescent grow and shrink, but nothing like what folks in totality were treated to!
@bkbinthecity Thank you a great deal, I do feel lucky being able to go out to the desert and find some "zen" as I call utter silence.
@taffy Thank you so much, I have never taken the time until yesterday to sit down and appreciate the beauty and strangeness of an eclipse. I've lived through them but so glad that I had this opportunity to experience one without a huge amount of people around.
@mbrutus Your fav is greatly appreciated, thank you. The bleakness and calmness of the high desert can really be beautiful in its own way.
@brett101 Thank you so very much for the fav, The trees have always grabbed me, they fight for water yet are so gorgeous at the same time.
@shepherdmanswife Very humbled by your fav, thank you kindly.

@megpicatilly Thank you for the fav, truly appreciate it. The tree was just so forlorn.
@haskar Thank you so very much for the fav, The high desert can be a surprise sometimes.
@deborah63 I agree, the high desert is so open and also has a unique beauty of its own.
@nickspicsnz Truly grateful for the fav, thank you.
@evalieutionspics So very thankful for the fav. At times I am amazed how peaceful nothingness can be.
@blueberry1222 We were at Two Guns, an old ghost town east of Flag. Only a couple of other souls were around.
@overalvandaan Thank you very kindly for the fav.
@jyokota Thank you, I've never really taken the time to see one. I am so glad that I did. Even 70% was worth it. 2024 is the next one in the US.
@jclaireyp Thank you so much, I really enjoy the desert in small doses.
