Trading post rock

Made trip to Lupton Arizona today to help a pup on his journey back home. Rocky, a Siberian Husky had run away from home a while ago, been picked up by a trucker who thought to double check if Rocky had a micro chip. He did and now he is going back home to Las Vegas,

While waiting for Rocky to arrive I snagged a couple of infrared shots. There isn't very much in Lupton but the scenery is very wonderful.
Love the processing

Spectacular scenery and great processing.

Fabulous b&w processing Joy, very dramatic. I like it a lot. Did you have a camera converted, or do you use filters for the IR stuff?

@golftragic Very grateful for the fav, thank you kindly. I converted my first DSLR and am so very happy with it. I used a company called Life Pixel ( https://www.lifepixel.com/ ). Filters were so frustrating. The post process is a learning curve but I am happy to give pointers if you would like.

@gardencat Thank you so much. The clouds were just so great this morning out in the middle of nowhere.

@graemestevens Thank you a great deal.

Thanks Joy, I'm just playing with the idea for now, but may well take up your offer in the future. I'm really only interested in the possibilities for b&w, I can take or leave the IR colour stuff.

@golftragic I get that, the faux color of IR conversion isn't for everyone
.
@blueberry1222 Thank you so much. Love that corner of Arizona.

@haskar Thank you so kindly for the fav. IR does wonders for details that my feeble eyes can't see.

@onewing Truly very appreciative of the fav, thank you so much. I am very humbled by the comparison.

@fbailey Thank you a great deal for the fav. IR is both extremely wonderful but frustrating as well. I do love it though.

Another fantastic IR shot! Fav.
And, again, you are awesome for the work you do with dogs. We are still working on a placement for my son's dog.

Stunning scenery. That pup ran a long way?!

@overalvandaan This is a rest stop along the major highway through the southwest - I40 which is basically the old Rt 66. Microchips seem so 21st century to me but they appear to work.
@ziggy77 Truly appreciate the fav, thank you.
@jernst1779 Thank you so kindly for the fav.
@la_photographic Grateful, thank you.
