The Rail Not Taken by joysabin

The Rail Not Taken

Apologies to Robert Frost. This is a now unused rail line in Clarkdale Arizona.
Love the lines and the processing. A real old photo effect.

Wonderfully ethereal! Reminds me of McCartney's ’...ever a winding road that leads to who knows where...’. Splendid!

@golftragic I was trying for a hi key color but the B&W really worked better- Thank you so much for the fav.

@shannejw Thank you so much. Hi key color then B&W

@pistache Thank you so kindly for the fav, lensbaby lends itself to hi key so easily.

@graemestevens Thank you so much for the fav. Hi key into the unknown

@s4sayer Thank you so very kindly for the fav. Unknowns can be very interesting.

@fbailey Thank you so much, especially for the fav. Hi key and lensbaby, go very well together

@jernst1779 Thank you so kindly for the fav. I was shooting with my Sol45, raw and with the jpeg set to B&W mode with hi key exposure. I was rather happy with the results- love to see what you might do with it too

@haskar Very appreciative of the fav. Still having fun with the lensbaby Sol45.

@ukandie1 You are so kind, there is something very romantic about rails for me.

@eudora Thank you so very much, really thankful for the fav. At first I thought that I blew this on the small camera screen it looked just terrible.

I find b&w is usually better for these kinds of shots, the tones are the thing rather than the colour in many cases.

@joysabin interesting. I did not realize that the jpeg could be set to b& w. I do love what the sol45 did here.
