Thank you, this is my mid-life crisis car. I got this baby right before I got fired but that was one of the best things that happened to me. I learned to walk away with my head held high and move on to a better job in a few months. I've since retired and am so so happy.
This shot, and the title, take me back to those years when my kids were little and freedom, to me, meant just being able to get into my car, by myself and drive off at speed, with the radio blaring ‘my’ music.
I like your "ride"! I feel like my car is also a symbol of freedom- I didn't learn how to drive until I was 24- but once I learned there was no stopping me! Good shot!
Yes, when you learn to drive and drive on your own (with no one next to you and just you deciding where to go), it feels very liberating, I can still remember that feeling! Love your bumper sticker.
@jernst1779 Gotta love an old lady with her toy....Thank you so much.
@olivetreeann Do very much love my 'top down' days. Shame that many of the best roads aren't 'bug' friendly. She wasn't made for off-roading.
@overalvandaan The local REI store had it just waiting for me, at least I like to think that. Cars do allow us freedom but I still enjoy a good hike more.
