Creative Hands

Wandered down to the 'Art in the Park' this afternoon. I enjoy the relaxed vibe. I stopped to look at one jewelry artist and his work - Pat Yellowhorse. He specializes in Native American designs. I felt his hands spoke volumes. I spoke with he and his wife or a bit. I inquired if he had any malachite pieces, a particular favorite of mine. Unfortunately none with him. He also shared that malachite when cut, one must be wearing a respirator as the dust can be exceptionally unhealthy. For that reason he doesn't work with the mineral often.

I will also add this to my 'strangers project' even though it only has his hands. I am realizing that my courage to ask people if they might allow me to take their picture is in need of strengthening. I am determined to work on that.
Really strong image here. Yes, I'm not good as asking people for a shot either. Seems the longer I leave it the worse it gets. Keep at it, you'll get there!

Love this shot, tells an interesting story. I like the way you've composed the image to focus on his hands.

@fbailey Truly appreciative of the fav and encouragement. I am going to really try to engage more.

@golftragic Thank you so kindly for the fav. When I first asked if I could take a picture he didn't hesitate. After I mentioned just his hands, he calming said okay, that will be $25. I knew then that I had to show only his hands.

@angelikavr Thank you so very kindly, truly appreciate the fav. It was just kinda unplanned.

@jernst1779 Very thankful for the fav. The color version did show off the colors of his ring, some jasper and green turquoise but his hands are a precious instrument unto themselves.
