Set up a chair and waited, about 30minutes. The Hummingbirds seem to be happy now that I've moved the feeder away from Riley's normal area of the yard. There is a red-necked and a green belly who argue now and then about whose feeder this really is.
I took my new-old 500mm prime out and got lucky before the rain and thunder started today.
@golftragic Thank you a great deal. The edit was an attempt to get its wings to stand out better.
@vignouse Thank you. I didn't think about taking pictures when I hung the feeder on an already existing hook, so I'm also grateful for Photoshop :):)
@robz Very kind words and greatly appreciated the fav.
@gardenfolk Very thankful for the fav. This little hummer must be older, it was very calm and let me take oodles of shots.
@fbailey The good thing is that they almost announce their arrival with a buzzing sound. I was reading an article on my phone while waiting- distracted photographer and all. :):)
@eudora This was actually my 2nd attempt of the day. I started in a different spot with a 200mm zoom but no tripod and had minimal success but those jpegs were deleted. After a hike with the dog, I heard them buzzing around and thought to try again, thinking through things better. Got lucky.
@genealogygenie Thank you so much. They are for sure.
@olivetreeann Thank you. Having iced tea or coffee and being sneaky about taking their picture works for me.
@gardencat Thank you so much.

@haskar Thank you kindly.
