There is a new community art work in San Pedro. I found out that I've been pronouncing this name wrong (not like a local) all along. I'm told it is said like " San Peedro" This is a section of Los Angeles near the ports and Long Beach. The neighborhood has a wonderful and fabulous character. This mosaic mural just opened on June 30th. There are many many little bits of local history embedded into the mural. One of my favorites is: "I remember the good old days, when I was neither good or old"-Anthony DeMaria 19208-2017.
Nicely done, I'm embarrassed to admit how long it took me to realize that the centre is your reflection and not a break in the mosaic with you on the other side, I was trying to figure out who took the photo...duh!
Yes. That pronunciation is correct. Nice mosaic and photo. Do we finally get to see a little bit what you really look like. From your profile picture, I always assumed you bore a striking resemblance to a pair of high top sneakers.
