After having lunch with a friend I took a drive to Lake Mary. I found about 2 inches of ice covering a good portion. We haven't had much snow in a week or two but temps have been in the teen's. Some folks have even been tossing rocks on the ice. More snow due this coming week- I think about 6 inches over 3 days.
And I thought it was just water! Not used to seeing ice in large quantities like this. Are those biggish rocks what you mentioned - they seem pretty large to heave way out there...... :)
@mzzhope Thank you so kindly for the fav, I am grateful.
@pistache Thank you so much, I toyed with a sharper one but this one won.
@redy4et It was actually not so bad, about 45 so the edges were soft and melting.
@robz I wonder if they were skidded out there? Anyway, I haven't seen that much ice on the lake before either.
@francoise Most appreciative of the fav, thank you so much. The peace and serenity at the lake was a special gift.
@octogenarian Truly grateful for the fav. I wonder if it was the wide angle lens (12mm) or the neutral density lens that gave the unique shape sun.
@sdutoit Thank you so much, I hope your temperatures aren't too bad these days.
@ninaganci I am in complete agreement. When it has snowed, a decent amount, 5+ inches, there is a quietness that is just so special. I truly thank you so very much for the fav.
@haskar Thank you so very much for the fav. There was not too other souls around so I could sit down and be quiet at the lakes edge, it was a true gift.
@la_photographic Thank you so very kindly for the fav, truly grateful.
@amyk The ice being thick was amazing. I know we've had cold days but I hadn't been back out to the lake for about a week or so.

@jernst1779 The peace and quiet there was so nice, thought it deserved a bit of softness. Thank you so very much for the fav.
