FOR No. 12

The sun was out and the winds down so I went on a walk about downtown. For a small town, this place changes all the time. So many new and extraordinarily large apartment complexes now which are needed but not appreciated by many as they change the character of the south side of town.

In my travels I spotted many things, this is a strange little building in an alley. The door opens below grade and the roof slopes a bit. It was the shadows which attracted my eye at first and then I noticed the artwork on the side. It is in memorial for a local artist who passed in 2010. Ken Oseda ( https://www.facebook.com/pages/category/Artist/KenOsedacom-260281420650632/ ).

The unique and quirky are monikers of Flagstaff. I hope that the growth does not destroy that.
What an interesting little building. Love the strong shadows.

That really is one of those buildings you can build a whole story around- lots of interesting pieces to it. Good shot!

Lots to look at here. Great contrast in this b&w.

Much more interesting than rows of high rises but, well...progress?

@mzzhope @olivetreeann @jernst1779 @gardencat Thank you all so much. I just did stumble upon this one. I do hope that some of the quirky vibe that has been a strong thread in Flag survives.
