Leaving the nest by joysabin

Leaving the nest

More Lensbaby velvet play... I added a 16mm extension tube to the lens and prowled around my weeds (aka a sad backyard).
i find dandies so beautiful once they've gone to seed - i feel they get a bad rap as weeds. nicely shot

This is fantastic!

I agree with Clare @pistache except I like them at all stages. Best to make a feature of them and poison anyone who refers to them as weeds! :-)

@pistache @jernst1779 @lostphojo Thank you so much, I really do think of these beauties as flowers, either yellow or fluffy white. I have no other flowers at the moment due to a recent frost which zapped my tulips and daffodils. It doesn't help that I haven't planted much and have massive brown thumb. :-)

Dandelions are quite amazing and attractive flowers, it’s just their tendency to take over the world that makes them so unwelcome in many places.

I cannot resist a dandelion - such maligned plants, so photogenic!

Looks like the moment a child makes a wish and sends off the seeds into the air.

@fbailey @joemuli @olivetreeann @gardencat Thank you so very much, very grateful. That these flowers have no thorns and are rather un-fussy as well as lovely should be celebrated more often-IMHO.

Great shot and title. One wish is escaping.

Very clever, both photo and caption.

@onewing @golftragic Thank you both so very much. My pup was just about to smash this one- she has no appreciation for fauna and flora.

I like the way dandelions catch the light. Dreamy shot.
