We went a bit further down a favorite trial yesterday and saw a table at which to rest. I noticed this carved into its top. Sad, that he felt the need to do it once but three times is simply over the top and borders on the 'who cares' factor.

So weird about the every two years date... One can hope that it was significant, cathartic to him or her. Probably not.
I'm not sure why there is such a great need to do this- if you want people to know you exist carving your name of a table will probably not accomplish much- but give of yourself at a place like a soup kitchen and you will be noticed all the time. Ok enough soap box- it's a good shot!
