Algea Bloom by joysabin

Algea Bloom

Went for a short walk around Francis Short Pond after my physical therapy appointment. The pond was experiencing an algae bloom issue so the color of the water is really that green. I was also playing with the slow shutter app on my iPhone, this being a 1/2second which accounts for the softness. Lots more play needed with this app.
Lovely soft capture.

Love the brush strokes feel to the shutter speed effect

The blue of the sky nicely breaks up all the green.

Worked well and gives an overall mystic feel to the image!

@mastermek In the middle of high desert no less.....

@haskar Thank you so much

@dustyloup I've had this app for a while now but just saw a video on how to use it. I've got a fair amount of learning yet to accomplish but having fun.

@k9photo I agree, it does.

@bubblequeen Thank you so much for the fav. The wind was rather strong so a longer exposure helped with the dreamy effect.

I like the softness and glow of the green- it really depicts a hazy summer day to me.

@olivetreeann Thank you so much. I was grateful that there was no real odor and most of the resident ducks were vacationing else where.
