Lake gone for the year by joysabin

Lake gone for the year

Walking today and letting our dog have some UN-leashed time, we noticed that Prime Lake is all but dried up. There was little rain this monsoon season and all the trails are very very dry. Fire restrictions have been in place for some time.
That is a dry looking landscape. Hoping things improve this upcoming year. It's been madness!

That's pretty grim looking. Drought and fire seem to be becoming the norm in so many places. I hope your area keeps safe. :)

@marlboromaam @robz It is unsettling, the lack of moisture. I hope that people remain vigilant and we don't start having fires like California and Oregon.

Fingers crossed this isn't portending a bad fire season

Looking at this image you’d never think there had been a lake.

OMW! that looks bad.
Our drought in Cape Town has just been broken and we were restricted in water use. Hope its not the same with you

It's hard to picture this as a lake- it really looks like a field. Hoping for some rain to balance out the dryness.

It does look like a field.

Oh that looks soooo dry. And dangerous if a fire occurs.
