Not noticed before

Hit and miss is the name of the game this week. I get sucked in to the insanity and then break free but it is a battle.

Anyway, Mr. S and I went on a hike today. This might be our last of the season, rain tomorrow, then SNOW - up to 10+ inches by Monday. Can't tell you how excited I am....

We've walked this hike for about 5+ years, and I've never seen this tree before. It was also just across the trail from a great rock for Mr. S to sit upon and wait while his artsy fartsy wife took her shot. Mother Nature really does surprise me now and then.

Looks like the tree had a rough time and then straightened out. That much snow would cripple GA DOT and would cause major trouble on the roadways.

I think this tree was echoing my morning posture or maybe reminding me to stand tall. It looks like a tree had fallen recently and perhaps it was blocking the sun. The abundance of trails in this area is truly a gift.
