Storm still here, lights on again

My attempt of a cloud and water shot at the lake was thwarted today. I was just about to walk down to the lake when the heavens opened up so, back to town.

This is the sky dome ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Walkup_Skydome on the Northern Arizona University campus. The clouds still were rather nice and it is very nice to see wet pavement again.

This also says that the pain of what we've endured over the past four years is still present but, I am now hopeful that positive progress will continue.
I really like the b&w treatment and the tone. It really adds to the photo. Fav

The storm of the past 4 years lifted a bit today and a ray of sunshine was cast upon us. Let us hope for clearer skies in the future...

Thank you all so very much. The dark sky and clouds were just so amazing.

I have always thought that this building looked like a flying saucer. There is a strong history of outer space related things in Flagstaff. Starting with Percival Lowell who came to town in 1894 to establish an observatory and then studied the planet Mars extensivly. The hill where the original telescope is even named Mars Hill. ( https://lowell.edu/ ) The moon was mapped thoroughly here and Flagstaff has a strong connection of the Apollo Moon missions. Even the Pluto was discovered here, many still consider it a full not a dwarf planet.

Love the building and sky. I also like the symbolism of the lights on again. One of my children says the elephant has been lifted from his chest.

@eudora Thank you so much. I hope we all learn from this episode in our history. I hope and pray that the lessons are coming to an end in regards to these years.
