Conned my son into coming with me to Two Guns, a ghost town along Rt66 so that I could capture the crest moon,Jupiter and Mercury. I didn't wait long enough to see the planets since I forgot my gloves. My son had already retreated to the car with our dog for a little warmth. It was more of a diplomatic move on my part to leave early. I still very much enjoyed getting out of town and the house.
This is absolutely wonderful! Fav. Glad you braved the cold long enough to capture this.
I'm working on a little personal project of sacred places. Places like this would evoke awe, were I lucky enough to be there--even in the cold!
Great shot with the hanging crescent. Once your fingers get really cold it's awful hard to change settings and such. I've tried those fingerless gloves, but they don't help much. I mean my fingers are what I most need for photography!
So very grateful for the supportive and kind comments, favs too. I will be adding gloves to the kit at least for the winter months. My better half was worried about me going along. This ghost town is right off the highway so, out there at night sorta required some company. I just didn't want to push my luck by making him stay too long.
