My follow through skills after having watched this tutorial were pleased. I know that I have a long way to go with droplet work but this helped my shy mojo with her confidence.
More snow today, 8+ inches which will just only slow down us a bit. The skiers might be happy with the new flakes.
I even get to use this for the weekly challenge 'circles' - the challenge of white on white (last weeks) will have to wait until after rainbow month. :(
Hope everyone has a good weekend, stay safe and sane.
Thank you so much, so very very grateful for your most kind and supportive comments. I have wanted to do this technique for a while. I just couldn't get my drops to stick and behave themselves. With the flowers that I bought last week there was blades of long grass included. I think that made a big difference and they are fairly flat. I also order a set of craft syringes from the Big A ( https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07GT5KWP9/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 ). The YouTube tutorial is ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3zXrKBqGl0E ). I liked this one since he did it on his kitchen counter. I was using a 55-200mm lens with extension tubes and a remote. Nothing fancy needed, I did play around with a flashlight (a torch) to light up the drips a bit better. Hope ya'll give this a try.
Absolutely stunning! I have wanted to do this but have never really tried. You completely mastered it. Perfect. Beautiful teal color too. Thanks for the links.
@pusspup@johnfalconer@haskar@777margo Thank you so very much. There are times when all falls into place where it should and this time I got truly lucky.
