Flag Fog by joysabin

Flag Fog

We are most assuredly fog challenged in this locale. I've lived here almost 8 years and have seen it once while walking. This is really a snow/rain mix coming to give us a reminder that spring is a season of transition. I did find this article from 2014 about winter fog ( https://azdailysun.com/news/local/uncommon-winter-fog-shrouds-flagstaff/article_006e401e-e9db-57de-b434-39029c155a80.html )

Now when fog comes to the Grand Canyon, it is a time for photographers to drop everything, grab ones gear and high tail it (at top speed) north to the canyon. ( https://www.vox.com/2014/12/12/7385219/grand-canyon-fog ). I admit to having never had the chance to see it.
So quiet and moody, certainly doesn't look like high desert!

Mysterious and otherworldly.

Is the rarity of fog in the area due to the general dryness of the air?
