I've always thought that these Chinese Lanterns ( Physalis alkekengi ) were so delicate. I welcome your thoughts about the onc blurred area, does this really take away from things too much?
It's in the foreground and really unnoticeable. Love your silvery shot! Don't get me started on setting up a shot in nature... then it's not nature if we have to remove leaves, stems and debris.
How marvellous - the silver and gold are very special. The blurred leaf at the front does seem to take your notice away from the main point of interest. Would it have been at all possible to clone it away - even just in the sections where it crosses the stem and the leaves? Then again - it's part of the natural setting :) Cheers Rob
Thank you all so very kindly. I have to learn to take my time with shots. I usually am walking my dog while shooting but she doesn't let me stay long in one spot. I think that maybe, I will 'scout out' shots and then go back without her.
It does take away a little bit. If it was possible, I might have moved it out of the way for the shot. But it's not TOO distracting for the most part. The fact that some of the background is blurry as well helps blend it in a little.
I was so focused on the lantern and the silvery colors that i did not notice the blurred leaf until I read your comments. It seemed part of the other blurry leaves.
