Driving along I-40 to pick up a rescue Akita. I have seen this sign (and others) many times so, today I made extra time to stop and grab a shot.
I'm not sure if this qualifies for the Dogwood Challenge this week -"Story: Landscape Foreground. Many stories are based around portraits, but landscapes can have stories also. Tell the story of a landscape by using the foreground as the subject and the background as the scene." I liked how many of the words are disappearing as are the items they represent are evolving as well.
@kali66 Thank you, the Route 66 Kitch is fading away. The roadside attractions and shopping stops are becoming a relic of yesteryear. I'm just glad that film itself isn't.
