PMARE No 128

I got a new iPhone lensbaby. This is a sweet spot, great for portraiture they say. The interesting thing is that the lens has the inverse presentation on the iPhone. This is how I see an image with my view camera and my Rolleiflex. A new toy with all sorts of possibilities.
Oh yes! While you're having fun I'll trey not to be envious!

Interesting fun shot- so jealous of ur cool toys😜

Love this shot, love the old camera too. Wonder if they make Lensbabies for android phones (and, if they do, can I justify more $$ for toys right now?)

@yrhenwr Thank you very much. I think that the blur seems to 'work' better in monotone or at least muted colors.

@rebeccapennington Thank a great deal, I talked my son into sitting for this, he agreed and I was very appreciative.

@joemuli The blur with the large sweet spot takes getting used to. The lensbabies for phones are fun and well made.

@gardencat Grateful, thank you kindly. They do, the little metal circle adapter is what works for android.

A great composition and love the focus point. Enjoy it - looks like you will have some fun! Fav

@megpicatilly You are so very kind, thank ever so much for the fav. I am having fun.

nice shot/focus, so much easier than walking around with a big old chunky camera.. maybe I should look into getting one.

I'm really enjoying your lensbaby shots this month, you've really mastered it. I brought one of those lensbaby lenses for the phone and really didn't have much luck with at all on my Samsung. Its now gathering dust on my book case.

I like it.

@stephanies I most definitely recommend the set. I am still trying to 'get into' the one with multiple images.

@deborah63 Thank you so kindly. I think that the iPhone attachment is better than the android. I have a couple of fairly cheap fisheye lenses for my android, which is actually my phone. The iPhone is an reconditioned beast that I was given for a bday gift and it is a lot cheaper than a new one.

@haskar Very grateful for the fav, thank you so much. I think my son agreed to pose since his face wouldn't be in the shot.

What a fun toy to have. Good luck with it!

Great image too...

@taffy It is rather like a toy since it is so small but still fits the bill. I wish I had more courage to use my Dad's Rollei.
January 7th, 2018
hmm . . . iPhone attachment, you say? Never heard of that. In any case, the capture of the Rollei is fun!

Fascinating

@jyokota These lens are a blast and being very well made ( https://www.amazon.com/Lensbaby-LM-10-Sweet-Mobile-Phones/dp/B00MPZ2GQY ) That's my Dad's Rollei which I need to use more.

@eudora Kinda strange but fun lenses to play with.
January 9th, 2018
@joysabin -- thanks for link but unfortunately, it won't work on my phone. yet. Meanwhile I'll enjoy seeing your work with it!

Very cool! And so convenient 🙂
January 12th, 2018
@northy Did you get some? If so have a blast playing.
January 12th, 2018
@joysabin no - I didn’t... I contemplated it but I find that I just don’t enjoy using my iPhone as a camera and figured they’d end up gathering dust
