PMAE No. 284 by joysabin

PMAE No. 284

Finally snapped. I've seen this gentleman reading in the shade outside the library on a few occasions. I was downtown and continuing to play and learn about the slow shutter app on my iPhone but quickly moved to normal camera and grabbed a shot. So very grateful and thankful for all the comments on yesterdays strangeness and making both the TP & PP.

Tad better on black if you have the time.
Great candid, love the processing.

@golftragic Thank you a great deal, I wish my iPhone didn't make such a loud sound when I take a shot.
@eudora Thank you very much.

@joysabin Go to Sound and Haptics in Settings and see if you can turn that sound off.

Quite western looking gentleman, I dare say. Tthe oddity he doesn’t look sitting on a bench - with the empty bench so near - and the extreme off-center make this shot very intriguing

@domenicododaro
I imagine he preferred the shade.
I like this. I like this very much, particularly water colour effect you've achieved. Want to fav it more than once.

I love the way you have processed this! It has such a peaceful feel, with his head bent reading the book in the shade, and then the archway leading the eye to another place. If I put my phone on silent, then the camera is silent too. I don't have an iPhone, but worth a try? Fav

seems like his white shirt brings my eye to him even though he's at the edge. nicely done. i like that you've noticed him before and bided your time ;)

@domenicododaro He brought his own stool so he can be in the shade, I assume. I was walking as I took my shot so I did get lucky on even getting him in the frame.

@s4sayer So are so very kind, very grateful for the fav. He just seemed to really belong there.

@megpicatilly Truly appreciate the fav. Thank you so much. I understand that I'd have to 'jail break' my iPhone to stop the sound as it is required in Japan to have it. I don't feel like jeopardizing my warranty to get rid of it.

@pistache Thank you, rarely do people repeat great actions. I do like that he was/is a creature of habit.

@thistle Thank you but, I just really got lucky since I was walking as I took my shot.

@tstb13 I used the water color filter in the NIK collection in Photoshop. Deep Art Effects is another very cool and fun app that has lots of choices to play around with. iPhone and Android.

@jernst1779 Truly very grateful for the fav. Thank you kindly.

@joemuli Sometimes I get lucky and he looked so peaceful and content.
