With clouds come rain, n'est ce pas? Can't wait to go puddle stomping!
My 2nd try at the Dogwood Challenge- Flattery. I am a bit happier with this one as in the Ansel Adams style. I am still completely aware that I am not in his league. Remembered that Mr. Adams toned his prints so I did the digital version in Photoshop, selenium no 5 in the NIK collection.
@graemestevens Edit, do they make iPhone filters other than apps? They would be tiny little things to attach, wouldn't they? Grateful for the fav, thank you kindly.
@kingstonroadcreative The clouds were just teasing us - one or two rain drops only. I used silver efex in Photoshop's NIK collection and then the toning under finishing adjustments. @irisn I was in a feeble way trying to mimic Adams style. I fell in love with his work 30+ years ago. So you so kindly for the fav. I was so happy to see clouds. We have been so very dry here. @eudora Thank you so much. When we get clouds, they are often very dramatic. This year, they are so very welcome.
@golftragic Thank you so much for the fav, Sometimes my cell gets a better shot than my DSLR. @tstb13 I hope its not too dark but the clouds just are so welcome. @joemuli The air is so dry that most of the rain evaporates before it can reach the ground- kinda unfair in my book.
@graemestevens oy vey! @pistache Thank you so much, @kiwinanna Very appreciative for the fav, thank you. Moonsoon season is on its way we just need to be patient. It was muggy this morning, 30% humidity- so its close. @haskar Thank you so much for the fav. I was also playing around with a new remote shutter for the iPhone. It works very nicely. @gardenfolk Very grateful for the fav, thank you so kindly. The park was rather empty yesterday. @henrir You are so nice and I am very thankful for the fav. @thistle Truly grateful for the fav. @joemuli Thank you so much Joe. @jernst1779 Very appreciative, thank you so much. @golftragic I started out trying to get used to using my graduated ND filter for the DSLR but liked the phone shots better. I will conquer the ND filter yet....
Fantastic. Red filter effect all the way. Funny, I was reading a bit of his book today on darkroom technique for giggles. I won't ever have the time to go full on darkroom. His principles of tonality still resonate today.
@pickerandagrinner They sure do. I dream of having a darkroom again. I settle for snagging the powder room occasionally but mostly to develop. My palladium skills are waning.
