Another archive grab- 29+ years ago. The Oregon Coast, Newport Oregon- a Honeymoon shot. Feeling landlocked and missing the ocean. A straight film to digital shot, no corrections or fixes.
@pistache The sun setting on the Oregon Coast can shy but some days it just sings, so happy that it did. @fbailey Thank you so very much for the fav. I would love to live at the Oregon Coast. @lenanau Thank you so very much. @henrir Thank you so much, I usually shot B&W in those days, glad that I didn't. @bkbinthecity Thank you a great deal. @deborah63 The sunsets at the Oregon Coast are amazing some times. @jernst1779 Thank you so kindly for the fav. I used to live in Corvallis but hope to get back to the Pacific Northwest some day. @golftragic The Oregon Coast in summer is usually tranquil. I miss it so.
@joysabin As so often in this community, I'm also urged to say more about a picture; also to learn more in a conversation with you about this landscape. Unfortunately, I lack the necessary leisure time. Also, my english is rather poor.
Apparently, you have a very personal relationship to this place. The way you present it gives meaning also for other people. Beautiful is the mood on the beach, the view over the vastness of the Pacific. You can literally hear the waves ebbing peacefully on the shore and the sea breathing. The light of the low sun falls beautifully through the clouds and reflects in the water. I love walks in such places. Especially when you live in a landlocked country like me, the sea is something very special.
Thank you for this very nice picture.
