My devil tree by joysabin

My devil tree

I call this truly amazing tree a devil because it has never given me a shot that I felt I could post. The light was never what I wanted, the angle was wrong, the DOF not good, the resulting shots were just yucky. On my walk yesterday morning, I caught the sun flare and hoped for again. The tree is a single tree that lost its leader and three branches grew to give it its unique feature, kinda like a inverted tripod.
Wonderful composition shadows and wonderful sunflare

It reminds me of one of those really long forks that you ise in an open fire.
I like this one... but more importantly are you happy with this one. :)

I love how the branches have formed themselves in this way, so unusual I think. I love the golden light on the grasses too.

I delighted that you posted the sorry of your devil tree as I now know I'm not the only one who has subjects that frustrate me. I actually have a notebook where I have recorded subjects that I know could make a good image but have so far beaten me. Nicely captured.

@ziggy77 Thank you very much, this lives just next to the freeway and there isn't a great deal of room to work with but sun was just what it needed.
@deborah63 Thank you, we all have a particular subject that be-devils us so and this one is it- at least was, finally.
@mastermek Now I have to find a new pain in the tush to try to photograph.
@chard I think so, I noticed it when I first started walking. I don't always look up but will now more often.
@susale And it is a young one, these don't mature until about 160 years old. I hope it lives a long and lovely life.
@octogenarian I think so, I took this with my cell phone.
@stephanies Thank you, the grass is already turning brown around here but then because it is next to the freeway that might be the reason. @davejf Thank you, I guess that I am just stubborn and really lucky that the sun was where it was.
