So today was an exciting day for me. I entered a photo contest sponsored by the Kennedy Mine Preservation Society. This is the photo I entered. The contest was for painters and photographers and we were given 3 days to turn in two photos or paintings that had to be taken or painted during that time at the Kennedy Gold Mine in Jackson, CA. And I am so proud to say I won First Place in the photography! There was also a First Place in painting. My photo and the First place painting will be sold at a live auction/BBQ in June. I also got an Honorable Mention for my second photo. Yippee Skippee! Thank you very much. Just had to blow my own horn.
