May2016-4

Back at Warsash there was an loud explosion as this tender caught fire and was taken rapidly up the River Hamble by a strong tide towards moored yachts. Hamble Rescue Service and two fire engines were very soon on the scene.
We thought it was all part of some filming that was being done that evening, which had gone horribly wrong. This involved the orange liferaft on the left which contained a scantily clad, and rather wet, young lady.
However "Chinese whispers" suggest there was a can of fuel and a lighted flare involved in a deliberate, and dangerous, act of arson. The truth will out in the end.
Thanks for taking the picture John.
Very dramatic scene.
