October 2016-28

St. Fagan's National History Museum outside Cardiff, Wales, is a fascinating outdoor site with many reconstructed historical houses of all sorts, including a 1950 "prefab".
This little cottage was built in 1770 with walls made of a mixture of gravel and clay. Apparently a coat of limewash each year keeps the walls waterproof. I particularly liked the silhouette effect of the tall plants (hogweed & fennel?).
I'm relying on the capabilities of my iPad while away.
