We flew south to Punta Arenas on the Magellan Straits, to find calm, sunny weather. Not what we'd always had in Easter Island.
This commemorates something to do with the securing of The Straits for Chile in the first half of the 19thC. My Spanish wasn't up to translating the plaque properly!
