February2018-2 Perú Cusco 3

Perfectly tesselating blocks at the fortress of Sacsaywamán, Cusco, which was one of the last strongholds of the Inkas. They were finally massacred by the Spanish, providing a real feast bonanza for the local carrion-eating condors. This is why there are, apparently, eight condors on the Cusco flag.
Beautiful shot and sad history.
