A steep ride up an old funicular to the top of Cerro San Cristobál gave us an amazing view over Santiago. There was a welcome refreshing breeze too. I took a photo from a similar spot at the beginning of January last year, but the heat haze obscured most of the view. The tallest building in South America, 300 metres, showed up well today.
