Very disappointed with the picnic table I'd screwed up, I gave up on this scene. There were more trees, in a horseshoe-pattern, around the picnic table.
I like the trees, the beginnings of the table sucks.

I'm not an artist, so I have never thought about this before--how you can make so much progress and then scrap the whole thing. At least you were able to redeem it through this photo.
@susale@tristansmum@cejaanderson@miata2u Not my best work. First time I have tried to sketch outdoors. Done in charcoal, I'd forgotten to bring a kneaded eraser, which is used for charcoal. Additionally, I am new to charcoal & I have not yet successfully used a kneadable eraser to do anything but smear around the charcoal.
Once I screwed up the table, the rest was lost, so it was time to move on & find another subject. Didn't find one, though.
I probably should not have used this for my photo of the day, but it was the most creative thing I did that day, so it got chosen.
