Adobe Lightroom Has One Seriously Non-Intuitive User Interface

Embarcadero Marina Park, with North Island Naval Air Station, in Coronado, on the far shore of San Diego Bay
Shot from Atop the San Diego Convention Center
San Diego, California
I like the picture, but you and many others seem to be disenchanted with LR...

So pretty in sepia. This has a terrific DOF.

@Weezilou @cejaanderson I shot 152 photos from the top of the convention center that day. I have taken photos from up there before & posted them on Facebook, but not Project 365. All the same, I was kinda bored with the color shots from up there but I thought I could turn the beautiful, sunny day that it was. into something else, in mono and/or sepia.
Shot in sepia, although the RAW file captures all the color, too. So I had to process in color and then convert to sepia again.
Admittedly, I have no idea what I am doing in Adobe Lightroom. I am not even sure how it is supposed to be a useful tool in my processing; I was trying to use it the way I use Photoshop.
RTFM, I suppose.

I really like this composition and our processing of it, fav. I have LR but have so far got nowhere in learning how to use it. I don't like being forced to use it organize my pictures as well as edit them. I much prefer Photoshop, although there's still so much I have to learn about it.

@tristansmum I've gotten proficient with Corel PaintShop Photo Pro, a poor-man's Photoshop. But I recently signed up for the $9.99/mo. Photographer's sub from Adobe.
So I am learning Photoshop, but really all I've been using it for is to adjust Levels & Curves, then finishing up in the PaintShop Pro app.
This photo reminds me of shots I have seen of early New England, which is the effect I was going for. I was pretty careful to keep anything out of the shot that is "modern".
If I do something in sepia, I am looking for timelessness.
