Miss Monica Brock

Not My Work
This is the first piece of art I purchased off of eBay about a year ago. I think I paid $12 for it. It was not really titled; in fact, I think that the person I bought it from was not the artist- they just called it Pop Art. Probably found it at a yard sale.
What this painting did for me was cause me to think, "I could do that...."
So I did.
I call her Monica. I only call her that because underneath where she hangs I have a framed photo of the ship I served on. The frame also contains a philatelic First Day Cover featuring the ship on the envelope, on the day that the ship was commissioned.
That First Day Cover is addressed to "Miss Monica Brock" of Brooklyn, NY.
So the painting mounted above it became Monica.

It took 3 weeks, but I am finally caught up. Just in time to fall behind again.
I apologize for not putting in the time at checking out the work of my peers, here. That will be rectified.

Nice piece; I like your pov and the colour and texture. I also enjoyed the background info.

@tristansmum It was another "Didn't go anywhere" day, so I had to find something to shoot right here in the apartment.
