Pigcasso's Corner

Our downtown now has a pig on every corner. Each has been decorated by a local artist. The reason for the pigs is that the origin of the term "hog" for a Harley Davidson originated in this town.
How cool are these!! Great capture too!

@kellc thanks Kelly! At some point I will probably take pics of others too (I definitely need to take one of the Garfield pig)

@tigerdreamer they're big enough that some people straddle them and have their picture taken looking like they're riding the pig

@swguevin I don't know if I'll photograph all of them... there are 4 I definitely want to photograph.

@amandalomonaco thanks!

@northy there's one in particular that is not painted up.. .its just a hog... I'd love to get a pic of that one with a Harley in the background

And you never mentioned that the artwork was signed and done by Pigcasso....

Fun shot, great colours and I love the POV and the processing! In Vancouver a few years ago they did a similar public art project with bears and orcas, it was pretty neat. Would have loved to see pigs though! :)
posted May 7th, 2012
I love the processing and the perspective, the pig looks like it is about to bust out of the frame for some reason. The colours are wonderful.
@reva I was there when the orcas were on display!

I have seen painted cows and painted horses but never painted pigs.
