Smoke Flower

First time playing with smoke. Figured this would be a more original take on the current theme since smoke does flow. I liked how this one looked like a flower and gave it a red filter. How did I do?
I find it enchanting! I really love the red.

@jillmstruss thanks Jill! Smoke is really hard to do... you get a lot of shots of crap for 1 or 2 decent shots

Another good smoke shot......have now added that to the ever growing list of "things to try"

@onie I used a flashlight on the smoke. I couldn't get anything usable until I decided to try the flashlight. There were a few others I got that I liked, but this one had layers to it that I really liked.

@jsw0109 Thanks for the tip. I have a flashlight as part of my photography kit!!

wow, looks great, i think it's so hard to capture its flow that i never yet tried it!)

@nyusha thank you! I had no idea it was hard until I tried it LOL. This smoke is coming from an incense cone... probably not the best thing to use as a smoke source... the sticks are probably better.

This is amazing. I need to have a go at this sort of shot. + F for me.

@mrfoxon WOW! Thank you!!! That made my day!

@reva thanks Reva!

@paulaag I think shooting in the dark with a flashlight is what allows smoke to be a bit more magical.
