Freakish Storm

photo 297
While yesterday's sunrise was a "whoa!", this storm was a "wth??" I've never seen the freakish color before. I debated calling this "Tiiiiiiiiiin roooof! Rusted!"

I also want to thank everyone that viewed, commented and faved yesterday's sunrise photo - you guys put it on the PP! Even more exciting, you all put this shot on the PP the same day evening it was uploaded! WOW! You all rock! I cannot thank you enough for your kindness and support!

Superb shot! The colors are super neat!
posted October 24th, 2012
nice Jeff! did you add a red or some color filter to this to enhance the oranges?
posted October 24th, 2012
Fantastic shot !
posted October 24th, 2012
@paulaag I actually kinda did the opposite. Because I used user defined settings, I had the saturation turned up in camera. I think what makes the orange in the tin roof and in the dried grass stand out is that I did slightly increase the luminescence of the orange in Lightroom to match the light in the upper left corner, but for the most part, I was trying to tone the oranges and blues down because I used too much saturation in camera and didn't have time to change it and take another shot... I needed to get out of the road because of cars that were coming.
posted October 24th, 2012
such a dramatic beautiful sky. i love the disintegration on the barn. Fav!

AWESOME! Fav
posted October 24th, 2012
Another stunner, Jeff. I used to totally shout those words wrong...Tin Roof Rusted...at parties, bars and such. I thought that they were "Henro Busted" and wondered who Henro was and what he did to get busted. The scene is fabulous and it looks scary to be out shooting in that. A fav.

@amandalomonaco that's about as bad as me thinking that song about the big ol' jet airliner was actually "big ol' Carolina"

posted October 25th, 2012
Beautiful shot Jeff! If that sky had any hint of green I'd be telling you to take cover! But since it's more like sunset orange, I'll congratulate you on making the PP and say it's brilliant instead!

Awesome shot Jeff! Hopefully this one hasn't been lost to the "void"; it should have been in the Top 20 this week. My Monday shot (the berries) should be on there too; must be something about Mondays!
posted October 26th, 2012
@grizzlysghost yeah, I specifically looked for your berries and this shot and the monkeys (which I figured would take the top spot) but your berries and my love shack aren't there and the monkeys were #2.
