Diego went through a stretch where he would scream and cry during baths, a phase that had his mother and I genuinely worried, fretting over the evening routine. Thankfully, with all the traveling and water play in the summer months, he shrugged off whatever fear or upset he had and is now fully engaged in bath time every night. This was one of a series of shots that captured a variety of DJ’s expressions. But I chose this one for the sweetness; the roundness of his exceptionally beautiful brown eyes and his full pursed lips. Who knows what he was thinking in this moment - it could have been anything or nothing at all. Either looks gorgeous on this child.
