Early morning rituals are truly a thing in our household; they’re key to building up my strength to face the day. Coffee with my family, catching a little bit of “Sesame Street” or “Blippi” on the TV and catching up on what happened yesterday and what will happen today are essential to me. For Diego, his morning snack seems to delight him, and here he gets to do something really special - dip a galleta cookie into his mom’s coffee. He has watched his mom dip these for a long while, but I think this was the first time he did it himself correctly, not losing the snack in her coffee. I am super pleased I moved fast enough to catch the shot and I adore the bizarrely dramatic lighting of our living room at 6 a.m. almost as much as the moment captured.
