The playroom upstairs is lit by a single 40 watt bulb, which is fine because it’s pretty tiny as far as rooms go. The glow there is very soft, very orange, probably due to the lamp cover, but regardless, when I took this shot of Diego, it was made extra soft my fingerprints on the portrait mode lens of my iPhone. It has an angelic quality to it that I quite like, even if the framing and composition is nothing special. I love the lighting on his arm and the side of his face, soft shadows falling during a quite evening hour at home. He’s still recuperating, but sadly we learned his older brother has contracted some sort of yucky virus and is showing somewhat similar symptoms at his mom’s. Seems it’s the season for being sick, and while this hasn’t been a particularly difficult winter weather-wise, we will all be very happy when Spring and fresh air arrive!
