I've taken this notice board every day for three days because I like Sidney Sussex's method of recording Bumps results but it's been 'bumped' each day because I've posted the general scene before. Today I decided to go for an angle - probably compositionally less satisfactory but at least different. I only went in to town because an advert for Fat face popped up on FB and told me that they had reduced their Parka jackets to £25. They are really nice jackets so I got one for Rachel - you couldn't buy the components for £25. I was busy in the changing rooms taking selfies in the mirror and texting Rachel so she could chose which colour she liked. Good job they only had two or I'd have been home to late to walk with Rebecca and Gloria. A very nice day rounded off with a delicious afternoon tea at Marco Pierre White's place by the river. It was an anniversary present - I haven't been eating sweet things (apart from Strepsils!) as part of my diet so it was an extra nice treat!
Blackboards are extremely useful for remembering things....I would be lost without mine! Love all these little doorwYs to the colleges.....stone stairways, old doors, notice boards & usually a bike...what more could you want! A Fatfaceparka perhaps...I was tempted too when the ad popped up.....which colour did she choose? I am a wLk over for coats & jackets but I don't need another jacket...do I?
@happypat She went for blue though I thought I looked better in the light green. She said that was more something somebody of 40 would wear. I was offended and then remembered that I'm 50...
@trishaford they are rowing races - the boats line up in a row and each one tries to catch the one in front and bump into it before being caught by the one behind. I've got some photos and a better explanation in June of my other album if you can face going back that far!
