Eryngium and Ranunculus by judithg

Eryngium and Ranunculus

I managed to forget both those flower names when I bought these on the market and asked for 'yellow ones and blue ones'. The sun was streaming through them briefly this morning before it moved off to a different part of the kitchen.
Apart from a cold wind - it was a nice sunny day & I had a lovely time sitting in the garden watching all of the birds coming to the feeders this afternoon. There are obviously young to be fed - definitely a blackbird's nest nearby but we also had wrens, blue tits, great tits, long tailed tits, robins, thrushes, pigeons....
I have ordered takeaway via Deliveroo tonight - I'm hoping it works well as it opens up much more variety than the usual fare.
Nice shot

Lovely light and nice dark contrast and sharpness against the soft yellow focus. Sat in our gardens too and read, wasn't it great to be out there.

I recognise the colour of the ranunculus here so the eyrynnggium thing must be the teazle like flower! Good contrast in form! You property must have lots of trees to have all these birds!
