Bird scarer

No need to comment - just a diary shot. I was on the running machine in our summer house enjoying a podcast of 'David Bowie in his own words' when I spotted a 'pigeon'. When I got on to the slow interval I decided that it was an odd pigeon and stopped the machine so I could take a photo (I don't normally take my camera down but I was trying for a few droplet shots on my way down the garden) and zoomed in to find it was in fact a sparrowhawk. It was scared off by a black squirrel newly arrived from the colony in Girton. Note to self - clean summer house windows.
A running machine in your summerhouse?? wow that's impressive! Mine's is full of tools and garden stuff but then again it does double as my shed. What a great garden visitor, now we need to see the black squirrel :-)

Thats a real sight to see - good that you could get such a good picture! I like your commentary as much as your pictures!

Full marks for a most bizarre commentary! We've had a sparrow-hawk here working the hedges, but I've not had the camera to hand.
