Squatter

From yesterday's blue skies to rain all day today. It was a slow start with Nigel's jetlag and my lingering shingles resulting in a bit of an over-sleep but we dragged ourselves out with a reluctant Monty this afternoon. I bought two new dog beds last week (one for the crate and one for the basket). Rafiki decided to take up residence in the basket and we watched with interest as Monty roused himself from sleeping on the floor to wander over to his basket where Rafiki was sound asleep. He can be quite territorial with her but for some reason if she's asleep in his bed he just looks a bit confused, does a double take and wanders off to pastures new.
The cat reigns supreme - as always! Got long claws and very sharp teeth!

Hope your shingles are improving each and every day... sounds like a day of rest was needed for all! The kitty claimed her bed!

Well this is a perfect spot for Rafiki! I was just thinking before I read your words how clean & hairless this basket & rug looked! Was relieved to see it was new & that Lilys bed was not as bad as I thought in comparison!
Rafiki is a very fine cat & is obviously top dog today!

Wonderfully peaceful image, Judith. I can almost hear him purr. Hope you're feeling better.
