The light was dreadful for photos this afternoon - grey and gloomy so I abandoned any attempt at scenery. There has always been a 'To the river' chalk sign at the start of Garret Hostel Lane - I tihnk this one further away at Trinity Lane is the handy work of the unlicensed punt tour people.
Anyway - time for 3 good things again:
1. The finger that Adam completely mangled on an unprotected razor blade in his bag on Tuesday is finally starting to heal.
2. A quiet day in town for a walk with Monty and 365 the motive for doing it.
3. Aconites bursting out on The Backs and winter blossom on the tree.
Poor Adam, that sounds horrendous! It would have been so sore! The bike basket is always a lovely shot! I think 365 & a dog are both great reasons for a walk!
@happypat Yes and he did it once before (not so badly) but this time the razor had been accidentally knocked into the bag at some point so not as much his own fault! He will definitely be replacing the covers from now on. He has an iodine dressing from the GP nurse down the road as he's gone back to London and GP's are so over-stretched there if it turns yucky.
@judithg Oh bad luck Adam, no razor in bag from now on! That will handicap him writing & doing his art work! Have to go upstairs & change now to go out brrr, feel like staying in by the fire!
Nice to hear about the Backs - my mother took a photo there in 1929 and I have it! That basket is all ready to put the fresh bread in that you are taking back to poor Adam with his mangled finger!
what a pleasing image. I had the same problems with the weather - hence my difficulty in finding reflections in the river. Did you make it to the river on your walk I wonder?

Fun image! I adore your bike shots. Oh my gosh regarding Adam's finger!!! That sounds horrific and makes me cringe to think about it. Cuts are the worst. So glad to hear that Adam is on the mend!!
I’m so glad you are shooting bikes again. Whenever I think of you, even when you aren’t posting, I think of your wonderful bike shots. And ouch, poor Adam. Glad it’s finally healing
Ouch, ouch! Glad it's healing. Lovely shot. Bikes make great subjects. Trouble is the ones I see here in this corner of Italy are usually abandoned in headges missing wheels. Wouldn't leave mine anywhere ... it would be gone in 10 minutes!
