...why I am here in this cold wet country?
I did a circular route past the Fitzwilliam Museum today and saw the lions looking very grumpy in the rain. I tied Monty to the museum gate post and nipped inside to take a couple of pics and by the time I got back (less than a minute) there was a guard outside telling me dogs are not allowed on the premises. We both looked at the dog and I realised that his feet were indeed 6 inches over the threshold of the grounds. I consider myself duly told off!
@barbsmith His head & mane are probably about 4 ft across (maybe more) and he's high up on a plinth but I got in close to make him look bigger. I took some on the other side of the building (through railings as I was already in trouble!) and I've just realised they have their mouths closed and look like they've taken their false teeth out!
There is always hope for our sons! At 14 mine would have only seen food as well. I think there was a bit of motivation to impress the girl in the photo. This photo looks cold and damp as your description and your experience with the guard.
Wonderful perspective! Love ottery's observation that it looks like he's about to sneeze! And I agree with you...he could use a few teeth. :) Sorry Monty was so unruly as to step six inches into restricted territory. :)
