Well strictly speaking it's a wet Sunday afternoon as it was warm first thing. We are officially the driest place in the country 'suffering' the driest Spring in decades so I daren't complain about a wet day. I do feel for the students though - typical glorious revising weather followed by rain at post-exam party time. It looks like things will pick up again for the May Bumps which start on Wednesday so I will sally forth for some rowing shots.
I love this rose but it's got too heavy and flopped over in the garden so I brought some inside. Thanks for all your recent commenting - it's lovely to have feedback.
@nattybabe Hmm - I've looked it up and I'm not sure. I don't think the young buds are right - but it looks gorgeous and I'm after another climber so I'm going to try and find one!!
Wow, this is really, really beautiful. What a great way to brighten up a dreary day. I can't even imagine we were missing the rain at the moment, it seems like there has been loads lately. I really hope it will turn nice for my brother's visit but I'm not very hopeful... Well, with English weather you never now I guess ;). I can't believe I'm gonna miss the May Bumps. Hope they'll have some left for me on Saturday.
@happypat The windowsill is white - I'm not sure if it was the light coming through the roses or something in the processing - I fiddled around loads and then went back more natural - decided they could hold their own!
flower against a rainy window, works well for me Judith. cool composition.
It did indeed rain hard today Judith.......not good for dog walking...especially for a whippet who doesn't like rain :). ..too intelligent by far !!!!!!!!!!..I mean I got those 'why are you taking me out in pouring rain eyes'..... I muttered under my breath....'because I have to Ruby' !!!!!!!!!!!
Beautiful composition! Love the softness, water drops as background! It's been very dry here too. Now we've had several rains and most people are very happy with it
This is truly an awesome photo and well deserving of the PP. Not sure how I missed it as I follow you - but glad I didn't miss it on the PP. It's just gorgeous.
Found this on the pop page......quite gorgeous! That's what happens when they tell you you are officially living in a drought area.....it absolutely heaves it down!! A beautiful shot summing up Sunday to a tee...got to be a fave!
This is gorgeous - what a lovely composition. Yes, it was a total washout of a day (the football end of season Dads v Lads football match here on the rec was replaced by an indoors party at the village hall, corralling 12 hyperactive twelve year old boys high on choc cake crisps and fizz - and the Dads were worse!)

a Fav for me!
